Dark Night is a multi-faceted project inviting participants to encounter, reflect on, and honor the choice to endure dark nights of the soul.
Centered around a live 12-hour solo improvised tap dance performance, the award-winning creative team draws inspiration from St. John of the Cross's Dark Night of the Soul.
Emanating from this physical feat, Dark Night offers a series of creative invitations for participants to explore their own relationship to the dark night.
Tap dance artist, Andrew Nemr, attempts the impossible by tap dancing for 12 hours. Through the night, Nemr creates a space, inviting visitors to encounter, reflect on, and honor the choice to endure.
Inspired by Dark Night of the Soul, by St. John of the Cross, Dark Night uses artistic expression to create safe spaces for participants to explore their relationship to the night.
